Enjoy your life in the New Year

Enjoy your New Year's Eve! I am spending my New Year's Eve with my family....well some went to bed already. lol Couldn't take it any longer sleep was calling their name. So however your spending the New Year's Eve remember those you love.

In the new year I will be focusing more bettering myself. Now this might sound selfish. But how can you help others if you yourself need help. So this next year help yourself. Take the time to make that dentist appointment, get that gym membership, enroll in college, an even just take time for your self. I know it sounds bad but take more then five mins to get ready. I'm one for recorded breaking for shower, clothes, and hair = 10 mins. 2 mins more and I'll have makeup. But this year I'll be slowing down. No I'm not gonna make people wait on me getting ready. It should be time spent on your self. There is nothing wrong with it. I'd say if your making people wait there is a problem though....another subject. lol

An there is always room for improvement so you may never be where your out of 'I need help' mode. Its getting to where your not needed to depend on others. You can cruise on your own. Days like New Year's Eve can be spent alone or even just with family....its not about the attention that you need an so on. You can with working on yourself be comfortable being out of the spotlight and enjoy the simple things in life. A night with your boys watching fireworks, a night with your nieces filled with makeovers and even just a night spend at home with your kids watching tv.

Enjoy life. Enjoy being you. Enjoy the simple things that life has to offer in the New Year!

Happy New Year....cheers till next time!

Unappreciated

Have you ever had the feeling that your unappreciated. You are going out of your way to do something nice, something you don't have to do for someone and they can't even accompany you on the journey or say thank you. It isn't just a feeling of disrespect its a feeling of not being appreciated for what you are doing. There are other things you can be choosing to do but instead your being kind to someone else.

I think that this world has become a spoiled brat. We rarely say please and thank you. I even have to be the one to say 'have a nice day' to the checker at the stores. They get a shocked look to most of the time when I say it. What happen to manners and respect for another human being.

It eats away at you. The world seems helpless an you start getting sucked into the spiraling abyss of disrespect and selfishness. We need to set the example and keep killing people with kindness. Getting mad and yelling in your car cause someone cuts you off on the freeway isn't gonna do anything to them. We hold on to anger and its not healthy and it does no one good.

So while I'm sitting here writing about feeling unappreciated, I have stopped what I was doing an will be working on something else. I will be finding peace an will breath. I will leave you with this:

Buddha said "Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die."

Stocking up vs. Hoarding

Where is the line between stocking up and being a hoarder?I look though my closest, bathroom and room an think to my self where did all this stuff come from? More important how can I simplify and reduce without freaking out! My niece today was all "its like we are shopping in your bathroom" an yes I realize five shower gels, three lotions (which I don't use), four hand soaps and like six body sprays....well lets just say I was a nice aunt. I still have a lot....but the main point of my concern is the things I am not using. The clothes I'm not wearing, the bags I'm collecting, the endless craft supplies I have (which I jump from project to project).

I do have to say that I did find a simple solution though might not be the prettiest right now...for my jewelry. I went to Lowe's and found a organizer for nuts and bolts (an things of that sort). I have to say my jewelry works well in there. I plan on making a slip cover for it out of fabric. That way its practical and I have my organization but I'll be able to keep it out without it looking hideous.Just remember you don't have to spend a fortune usually and the times your going to you probably shouldn't. Don't get me wrong I have a Fossil bag that gets taken out once in a while it was at least $110. Now I know many woman drop more then that on handbags but should I have spent the $110 on a bag that I wouldn't be using every day. Think about it. That some times is our life. Filled with expensive items that are taken out on special occasions when in reality we should just say no and walk away.

Sales and coupons there are nothing wrong with these two words. It's come to a time that the purses need to get put down and we need to walk away. Our bills are out of control and we become strapped for cash, but its all good right cause you have your purse...lol. If you have to go shopping look for the deals an not just any deals. Buy one get the second half off is only 25% off each item. Now buy one get one free is 50% off each item....good deal, but it doesn't mean splurge. Don' spend that extra $20 dollars to save $10 dollars cause now you've spent $10 you didn't need to spend. Go in with a game plan. Try looking on the stores web site, if it's possible or/and make a list of things you need. Above all else make sure you have a budget set for your day!!!

I'm not perfect and I am talking to myself here to...this is something I need to work on. I am actually going to write out a detailed list of my bills and anything I need to buy. Along with this I will be putting money in my savings. No matter how much you are able to put in a month it is a great thing to put some money aside into your savings.

So even though it is winter doesn't mean you can't do some spring cleaning. I would donate or/and sell the stuff you find you don't want or need. An as far as shopping goes: save and spend wisely if you have to get something. I say shop around if you have to buy something and always if you buy something such as an electronic (check online reviews) besides checking out all info on item....well that's it for now....cheers till next time!

Resolution Time?

So Christmas is over an its almost New Years Eve, so the question for the new year is what is going to be my resolution this year? To loose weight, spend less money, more family time, get a better job, or how about nothing at all. The truth is so many of us break our resolutions rather then keep them because we what to be better, an we have the intention but we set the bar to high.

Don't get me wrong I'm not say its wrong to reach for the stars, but you don't get there by buying a rocket and jumping in there the next min and going off to space. It take training and dedication for anything you do. If you just jump in the rocket with out proper training more then likely your head is gonna explode. When you reach to far you often get frustrated and give up. So what do you do to reach the stars? Start off with identifying the goal. Mine is to loose 50 pounds. Obviously that's a lot. So how about 10 pounds. Steps!!! Everything takes steps to reach. Yes there are some that can jump on a plane an fly past the steps to their destination but every step is a victory. In your victory with each step is a victory with in yourself as a person. Character is built and your life becomes richer.

Simplifying your goals is easy, with steps and preparation you can achieve a lot. Read up on your goal. Ask others who have achieved the goal your set out for. Ask those people what they did in their hard times, when they wanted to give up. Remember slow an steady wins the race. If you take the time and make the effort you can do it. So dream big and reach for the stars, just realize that your gonna have to do it one step at a time........cheers till next time.

So sick...sorry no posts

So I began got one post an I got so sick....I'm coughing so hard its ridiculous. Taking plenty of Vitamin C and resting when ever I can.

With that said I'll tell you a little about my Christmas. Normally Christmas Eve is our day to celebrate but things didn't turn out that way this year. So were supposed to celebrate hopefully if we get my nieces (and it is my sister's week starting Friday). For Christmas though it was simple just my mom and me. I have to admit to sleeping a lot, I needed it. But it was still a good day. I talked my mom out of going to the movie theaters out of protest for those who had to work on Christmas instead of spending it with their loved ones. So we watched television and sewed a little. It was nice actually, I admit and help me if she reads this but I don't spend enough time with her. I say help me cause she'd never let me live it down, lol.

Christmas on Saturday will be some what trying, we have to load up presents and drive up to Sacramento area. But I plan on preparing the night before...which is tomorrow. That way its a simple process. The easier the better. The less stress. Being ahead and prepared leads to less stress. Something that is defiantly needed around the holidays. So remember plan, plan, plan. An like Santa check that list twice. What list you ask...all them: the gift list, grocery, guest list, cleaning list...whatever else kind of list you have to prepare. This way you don't end up running to the store for the marshmallows for the yams, you don't for get little Timmy's gift, Uncle Johnny doesn't get forgotten and you remember to clean the toilets. Trust me, its the little things that are forgotten the easiest.

So remember you can only do what you can and we are human which means we are not perfect. This is of course for holidays to come and for those throwing New Years Eve parties.

An when it comes to holidays there is so much information of decorating and cooking that can help simplify your holidays but make them still look elegant and extravagant. You just have to plan ahead. That's always the key to anything planning and not procrastinating. Well enjoy your day...cheers until next time!

Intro

Simply means in a straightforward or plain manner.
Balanced means to be equal or equivalent.
I know we all know the meanings to these two words. So why did I tell you, because sometimes I think we forget that what they mean when it comes to our lives. Diet, technology, beauty, fashion, health, and debt.......all these can be simplified and balanced out. A true circle simply is a whole an in that whole it is balance.
We go through life an are bombarded through the media and friends, and even family that life is about what you can get the most out of it. What if its not though? What if all these bills I have, stress, poor diet, the closet full of clothes, endless technology and beauty product...what if this is not what life was meant for? I mean yes I find myself saying I'm overweight and out of shape that is def not what life is about.....but there was a reason like this. My story is medication gone crazy and a doctor who didn't care....but that's not the whole story....there is my side who wasn't exercising and eating properly. We want what's fast and easy! Well that's not simple or balanced...or is it? (wink)
