Where is the line between stocking up and being a hoarder?I look though my closest, bathroom and room an think to my self where did all this stuff come from? More important how can I simplify and reduce without freaking out! My niece today was all "its like we are shopping in your bathroom" an yes I realize five shower gels, three lotions (which I don't use), four hand soaps and like six body sprays....well lets just say I was a nice aunt. I still have a lot....but the main point of my concern is the things I am not using. The clothes I'm not wearing, the bags I'm collecting, the endless craft supplies I have (which I jump from project to project).
I do have to say that I did find a simple solution though might not be the prettiest right now...for my jewelry. I went to Lowe's and found a organizer for nuts and bolts (an things of that sort). I have to say my jewelry works well in there. I plan on making a slip cover for it out of fabric. That way its practical and I have my organization but I'll be able to keep it out without it looking hideous.Just remember you don't have to spend a fortune usually and the times your going to you probably shouldn't. Don't get me wrong I have a Fossil bag that gets taken out once in a while it was at least $110. Now I know many woman drop more then that on handbags but should I have spent the $110 on a bag that I wouldn't be using every day. Think about it. That some times is our life. Filled with expensive items that are taken out on special occasions when in reality we should just say no and walk away.
Sales and coupons there are nothing wrong with these two words. It's come to a time that the purses need to get put down and we need to walk away. Our bills are out of control and we become strapped for cash, but its all good right cause you have your purse...lol. If you have to go shopping look for the deals an not just any deals. Buy one get the second half off is only 25% off each item. Now buy one get one free is 50% off each item....good deal, but it doesn't mean splurge. Don' spend that extra $20 dollars to save $10 dollars cause now you've spent $10 you didn't need to spend. Go in with a game plan. Try looking on the stores web site, if it's possible or/and make a list of things you need. Above all else make sure you have a budget set for your day!!!
I'm not perfect and I am talking to myself here to...this is something I need to work on. I am actually going to write out a detailed list of my bills and anything I need to buy. Along with this I will be putting money in my savings. No matter how much you are able to put in a month it is a great thing to put some money aside into your savings.
So even though it is winter doesn't mean you can't do some spring cleaning. I would donate or/and sell the stuff you find you don't want or need. An as far as shopping goes: save and spend wisely if you have to get something. I say shop around if you have to buy something and always if you buy something such as an electronic (check online reviews) besides checking out all info on item....well that's it for now....cheers till next time!
